2026 Rank the Rainbow Results from Longmont Pride

Polls opened at 11:00 am MT on Saturday, June 6th, as voters of all ages lined up to cast their vote in this year's Rank the Rainbow election at Longmont Pride. At 04:00 PM MT, polls closed for tabulation.

In the Rank the Rainbow Election (single-winner version), Purple won in Round 5 with 76 votes, needing 67 to cross 50%. Meanwhile, in the Rank the Rainbow Election (multi-winner version, 3 winners), Purple won, along with Green and Blue.

Despite robust early turnout for voters who supported Blue, the final results of the election surprised Blue's campaign manager, Tiffany.

Tiffany said, "I thought we had a strong campaign. We put Blue everywhere we could think of: the sky, the ocean, you name it. But we couldn't maintain the momentum we saw from the early voters, so we will revisit our methodology and see what strategy to try next year."

In the multi-winner version, Green and Blue joined Purple in representing voters. We spoke with the Head of PR for the Green Campaign, E.C. Boae, who offered these remarks,

We are so proud of the campaign we ran--we knew Purple had the incumbent advantage, along with vast resources and support, but we also understood what we needed to win one of the 3 seats available in this race. And yes, we got one, just like we expected. We are excited to get to work with Blue and Purple, and we understand the responsibility voters granted us by giving us their votes, whether or not we were first, second, or even third in their eyes. We appreciate every single vote and voter. Thank you!

Purple declined to comment on the election.
